Ahh, time ticks slowly on.  I’ll be five weeks tomorrow.  Today was much better than yesterday.  I only had sore boobs and some minor cramping.  As long as I don’t squish my chest up against anything I think I’ll make it!  LOL

So I’ve always heard that when you get pregnant your brain goes dumb.  It’s true.  Lately, especially at work, I’ve been feeling brainless, literally.  I can’t remember anything, even if I did it five minutes ago.  Jessie is probably cringing at what the next 8 months will bring.  I told my boss today.  I know it’s early but I didn’t want him to find out the same time everyone else in the office did.  For some reason that didn’t seem fair to me.  I know that a lot of women dread telling their bosses because of the potential consequences and awkwardness but James and I get along really well.  He took it very well which was great!  Now I don’t feel like I have to sneak around behind his back to go to appointments.

I know that Brad reads this post too but I just have to brag about him for a few minutes.  He’s being so sweet!  He’s always had this kind of “why can’t you do it yourself?” attitude towards me which has now changed to a very protective one.  I climbed on our stepladder tonight to put away some stuff (paper towels!) in the cabinets and he was very concerned.  I think it’s a little silly but it makes me feel so special!  I know that if he can take such good care of me he’ll be a great daddy!  I can’t wait to put our little one in his arms.  Now that everyone wants to gag I’ll move on.  🙂

Several of you have asked when I’ll start buying maternity clothes.  I looked online today and found some really really cute stuff!  Did you know they make swimsuits for pregnant women?!  Not that I need one, mind you, but wow!  In answer to the question, I think I’ll stick with my clothes until they don’t fit anymore, which has pretty much always been my approach to clothes shopping.  However, I might need pants very soon.  The extra fluid and bloating (sorry) is making my lower abdomen swell uncomfortably.  New bras might not be that far off either.  So….what I’m trying to say is, if anyone wants to go shopping with me next time they see me, I’ll try to keep an open mind.  Well, I think that’s all for me folks!  Gonna go nap on the guest bed until our sheets are done drying.  Goodnight and sleep tight!
